I was told the results would be reported within 5-10 days,
but the day before the deadline I was contacted and asked to have the test redone.
The blood collection fee and travel expenses for the retest were at my own cost,
and since there was no hospital nearby,
it took over an hour one way to go get the sample redrawn.
It was tough being 12 weeks pregnant.
For the retest, I was told the results would be reported in 3-5 days,
and that I would be able to see the chromosome test results, sex, and all traits.
But in the end, the results didn't come until day 5.
I was told that if I didn't post on SNS,
the sex and trait results would take 6 days,
so I posted.
From application to being able to see the results
took about a month in total.
I chose the cheapest NIPT test available,
but I regret it.
The NIPT test I used for my first child
included the collection fee,
and I got the chromosome and sex results within 3 days,
with only a 30,000 yen difference in price,
so I wish I had gone with that one instead.
The trait results were hard to read,
so it would be great if there could be improvements,
like being able to view them compiled into a PDF.
For those with time to spare,
I think it's recommendable since it's cheaper than any other test.

It says the results come back within a certain number of business days, but I hardly hear of anyone getting their results early.

When I try to log in to My Page, I can get in from my smartphone, but for some reason I can't get in from my computer.
And on top of that, I can't see the results of the free roots test option unless I post about it on social media. There was no explanation about this beforehand. I'm only posting because I have no choice.

We submitted a sample for testing but could not obtain fetal DNA (Google review)

We were told that they could not obtain fetal DNA even though we had submitted a sample for testing.
We had no contact for two weeks, and worried something was wrong, we contacted them after the abortion.
The testing period had also greatly exceeded what was stated on their website, and the refund amount was less than half — it was money wasted.
If the testing period is going to be greatly exceeded, they shouldn't prominently state the number of days on their website.

Thank you very much for using our testing service and for sharing your feedback.

We are sorry that we did not adequately explain in advance that there is a range in the reporting date for results.
In order to prevent any possible testing errors, we perform the analysis twice with no additional cost or need to resubmit a sample, and because the amount of fetal DNA varies from person to person, we set a range of 7 to 9 business days for standard testing (3 to 5 business days for expedited testing).
We also apologize that this particular test resulted in the need for retesting, which understandably caused you great anxiety and led to a loss of trust in our company.

The reason for the retest was not a testing error. As you also mentioned in your review, it was because the amount of fetal DNA contained in the maternal blood was insufficient, which meant we were unable to provide an accurate test result.
For maternal blood samples collected from the 7th week of pregnancy onward, we have a track record of reporting accurate results to 95% of customers on the first test; however, because the amount of fetal DNA in the blood varies from person to person, a retest may still be required even when blood is drawn after the 7th week.

For this reason, we offer a free retest and a partial refund guarantee to customers whose blood was drawn from the 7th week of pregnancy onward.
Thank you very much once again for taking the time to share your valuable feedback with us.
We will continue to take our customers' feedback seriously and strive to improve our services, including the speed of testing.

Requested for the purpose of genetic testing.
It's really a hassle and disappointing that you can't see the results unless you post something on social media.
It takes a long time to get the results, and even after they're out, it takes a while to actually view them.

It would have cost less to wait until week 7 for the test

I wanted the results quickly, so I paid the extra fee to have the test done at 6 weeks, but it still ended up requiring a retest.
If that was going to happen, it would have cost less to just wait until week 7 for the test in the first place, and since that extra fee isn't refunded, it ended up being a wasted expense.

The cost of the blood draw for the retest is also borne by the customer, so it costs even more, and even if you decline, only 30% of the amount is refunded.

If you're in a hurry, you're better off getting tested at another company.
You'll get your results faster there.

Thank you very much for using our testing service and for sharing your feedback.
We sincerely apologize that, at a time when you were anxious to receive your results quickly, the outcome required a retest, causing you great anxiety and understandably shaking your trust in us.

The reason for the retest was not a testing error, but rather that the amount of fetal DNA contained in the maternal blood sample was insufficient to produce an accurate test result.

The amount of fetal DNA contained in the blood varies from person to person, and even with blood drawn at 6 weeks of pregnancy or later, a retest may sometimes be necessary.

For this reason, we offer a free retest and a partial refund guarantee for customers whose blood is drawn at 6 weeks of pregnancy or later.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your valuable feedback with us.
We will continue to take our customers' feedback seriously as we work to improve our testing accuracy and service quality.

More accurate than an ultrasound, truly impressive.

I had a prenatal DNA test done last year.

At 8 weeks of pregnancy, I sent the testing kit to seeDNA.
But unexpectedly, a retest was needed. It took quite a long time to get the results, which threw off many of my plans.
By the way, I had chosen the express testing option.
I was told the reason for the retest, and asked to provide proof that I had indeed passed 8 weeks of pregnancy at the time of the first test.
I provided the proof, they immediately shipped a kit for the retest, and I was tested again, after which I properly received the results.

From the start of the first test to when the retest results came out, it took one month even with express testing.

Perhaps because I spent that one month of pregnancy anxious about who the father was, it was the longest and most anxious month of my life.
(I know this is my own fault.)

The result was the one I had hoped for.
The probability of paternity came back at 99.999999%.
However, I imagine many people are the same way — even after getting the results, I saw a lot of people online who still wondered, "Is this really correct?" I was one of those people too.

I think the anxiety that remains even after getting the results doesn't fully go away until you give birth.

In fact, after I gave birth, the baby's face was the spitting image of the father with a paternity probability over 99%, and
I thought, "Oh, this is definitely his child. No need for testing at all" — the resemblance was so striking that I finally felt at ease and was freed from my anxiety after giving birth.

The test results were correct, and for anyone who still feels anxious even after receiving their results, I hope hearing about my own experience brings you even a little peace of mind.

I was also able to get a gender test done, so I asked seeDNA to tell me the baby's gender as well, and that result was correct too!

On the ultrasound, my OB doctor kept telling me not to assume it was a boy up until 30 weeks, but then suddenly near my due month I was told it was a girl,
and since seeDNA had also given me a test result of "girl," they were more accurate than the ultrasound — truly impressive.

I felt this was a company I can trust.

However, I chose the speed testing option, and it still took quite a lot of time.
I think the speed testing option is a waste of money.

The results took far too long to come out, and if it's going to be this slow, there should be a notice about it.

Thank you very much for using our testing service and for sharing your feedback.
We apologize for not providing sufficient prior explanation regarding the range in reporting dates for results.

In order to prevent any possible testing errors, we perform every parent-child DNA test twice—
at no additional cost and without requiring resubmission of samples—
and since each submitted sample differs, we set a range of 4 to 8 business days even for our speed testing service.
