It is a forensic test to confirm whether evidence left at a crime or infidelity scene contains semen.
We can determine if stains on clothing or objects are semen and identify whose "semen" it is through DNA testing.
We have introduced the latest semen testing techniques used by the US FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) and CSI (Crime Scene Investigation).
* If there is less than 0.005ml of semen, same-person identification may not be possible even if DNA preservation treatment is performed.
* Since we cannot confirm whether DNA was preserved until the actual DNA testing is performed, the same-person identification result may not be obtained. Please understand in advance.
Furthermore, even if it is determined not to be semen after requesting DNA preservation, it is an option due to differences in testing methods, so no refunds can be made.

We check whether stains or objects on clothing or tissue paper contain special proteins found only in human semen.
It is best to test the entire stained object using a molecular biological method called immunostaining.

Effects of Semen Testing
It is one of the forensic tests performed to check for a partner's infidelity.
If it is scientifically proven that semen is contained in the evidence left at the infidelity/crime scene, it has very strong evidentiary value.

Q.What can be tested?
A.
Tissues and underwear are common, but it is also possible to detect if there is semen in things used daily such as towels, bed sheets, and clothes. Since it requires a dedicated detection kit, the applicant cannot perform the test directly at home, and the sample must be mailed to the center. (Using a semen testing kit (test medicine) sold on the market may alter the DNA, making it difficult to proceed with DNA testing afterwards. It is better to use the test kit at the center.)
Q.How is it tested?
A.
We detect semen by a molecular biological method using antibodies that react specifically to human semen. Stains invisible to the naked eye can also be detected by irradiation with an ALS (Alternative Light Source) specific to the wavelength of semen.
Q.Are there substances that react falsely?
A.
In testing using old reagents, there were cases of false positives with strong acids or saliva. However, the kit used in our center is the same latest kit used by the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) in the United States, and there is no cross-reaction with any body fluids or animal semen other than human semen, enabling extremely accurate discrimination.
