Email from a customer in Yamanashi Prefecture who used our prenatal DNA testing service
Thank you for the results report.
While I was waiting for my own test results, I often read reviews to help calm my nerves, so I wanted to leave my own experience here.
I hope it can be of some help to someone.
I requested a prenatal paternity DNA test.
I did not add NIPT or gender determination.
I chose seeDNA because there were many reviews and the website felt polished and trustworthy.
The concise and courteous response I received when I called with questions before placing my order was also one of the deciding factors.
The fee, including a special sample (toothbrush) and expedited testing, was about 150,000 yen.
It's certainly not cheap, but since it concerns something so important to my future, I felt the price was reasonable.
I had the sample shipped anonymously to a post office for pickup.
Since this is such a sensitive matter, I really appreciated that level of careful attention.
I sent a blood sample at 7 weeks 5 days, and received the results at 5 p.m. on the final day.
The result was positive.
I was able to understand the report reasonably well by referring to the "How to Read Your Results" guide on the website.
Regarding testing speed, based on the reviews I had read, it seemed like most people received their results on the final day or the day before, so I had mentally prepared myself, thinking it would likely be the same for me.
Before receiving the results, I had already thought through what my schedule would look like both if the result wasn't what I hoped for and if a retest were needed, but even so, I spent the time feeling quite unsettled.
That said, if a service like this hadn't existed, I think I would have either continued the pregnancy while carrying constant anxiety, or been unable to bear the pressure and given up on having the child.
I am deeply grateful that we live in an age when a service like this is available, and to everyone involved in the testing.
Thank you so very much for everything this time.
