The amount of DNA was insufficient, so I had to be retested.

For the NIPT test available from week 7 onward, I had blood drawn on the day I entered week 7 and sent it in for testing. As a result, after waiting two weeks (until the final day of the expected testing period), I was told the amount of DNA was insufficient and I would need to be retested. Even if I were retested, it would no longer be considered an early-stage test timing-wise, so I thought about getting tested elsewhere and requesting a refund, but only 30% was refunded... I had no choice but to have blood drawn again and request a retest. Apparently the blood draw fee is charged separately again. If they can't obtain results, they should contact customers sooner. I'm already at 11 weeks, and I feel nothing but anxiety. I should have read other people's reviews more carefully. They tell you the expected result report date in advance by email, but you should assume it will be the last day of that range. Was sex determination an optional add-on? Given the possibility of needing a retest, it's better not to add it. Depending on the timing, a checkup might reveal it sooner anyway.

Thank you very much for using our testing service and for taking the time to share your feedback.

We apologize for not adequately explaining in advance that there is a range in the result report date.
In order to prevent any possible testing errors, our company performs analysis twice at no additional cost and without requiring a resubmission of the sample.
Additionally, because the amount of fetal DNA varies from person to person, we set a window of 4 to 8 business days even for the express test.

We also sincerely apologize that the result required a retest, causing you great anxiety and distrust toward our company.
The reason for the retest was not a testing error; as you mentioned in your review, it was because the amount of fetal DNA contained in the maternal blood was insufficient,
which meant we were unable to provide an accurate test result.
For maternal blood drawn from week 7 of pregnancy onward, we have a track record of reporting accurate results on the first test for 95% of customers,
but because the amount of fetal DNA in the blood varies by individual, a retest may still be required even when blood is drawn after week 7 of pregnancy.
For this reason, we offer a free retest and a partial refund guarantee for customers whose blood was drawn from week 7 of pregnancy onward.

Thank you very much again for sharing your valuable feedback with us. We will continue to take our customers' voices seriously and strive to improve our service, including the speed of testing.
