An email from a customer in Aichi Prefecture who used our Prenatal DNA Test
Thank you for all your help.
Thank you very much for reporting the test results.
I was finally able to feel at ease.
Thank you so much for everything.
Below are my answers, so please have a look.
1. Why I chose seeDNA
I searched online and felt this was the most trustworthy company.
2. Customer service
Both the phone and email support were truly kind and courteous, and I was impressed by how personable the staff were. The response speed was also very fast.
3. Testing fee
It is expensive, but given how demanding the work must be, it may well be a reasonable price.
4. Testing speed
I requested the express test using a toothbrush sample.
For the first attempt, testing began on 8/1, with results expected between 8/9 and 8/16; on the 15th I received a result requesting a blood sample resubmission.
For the second attempt, testing began on 8/26, with results expected between 8/30 and 9/5, and I received the results on 9/3.
I felt it matched what was stated. That said, I think it's best not to expect results in the shortest possible timeframe.
5. Reporting of results
I am very satisfied.
6. Other comments
I had my blood drawn at 7 weeks and 4 days of pregnancy, but there wasn't enough fetal DNA, so I had to resubmit a blood sample.
I received an email the day before the reporting deadline, and when I saw the words "blood sample resubmission required,"
I truly felt despair (especially since I had been in quite a hurry for the results).
Looking at reviews, I noticed several other people who also had to resubmit.
I think it would be helpful if you also listed "the probability (or number of cases) of needing a retest when blood is drawn at 7 weeks."
If I had known, I would have waited a few more days until a point when DNA could reliably be detected before testing — that thought kept nagging at me.
(Of course, even after 8 weeks there's no 100% guarantee.)
I had paid an extra fee for the express test,
but in the end it took about a month from the start of the first test until I received the results.
(This was partly because I had to be away from home for about two weeks, which also delayed the retest considerably.)
Still, coordinating things like the delivery date of the test kit went smoothly, which was a great help.
The fast email responses were very reassuring.
