[Prenatal DNA Test] It was easy to understand, and the parts I didn't understand were explained clearly when I called (2023.08.05)

An email from a customer in Kanagawa Prefecture who used the Prenatal DNA Test
Thank you for your continued support.
Thank you very much for everything this time.
I would like to submit the following survey.
1. Reason for choosing seeDNA
When I looked into it, I felt it seemed trustworthy.
2. Customer service
Both phone and email communication were smooth and good (especially the female staff).
3. Testing fee
Not cheap, but I think it's reasonable.
4. Testing speed
For the standard test, I was contacted exactly 3 weeks after the sample arrived, which was 14 business days later. Since it spanned one weekend/holiday and two ordinary weekends, and the result arrived on the very last day of the announced period, it felt very long.
I was almost certain the result would be what I hoped for, but because of my mental state during pregnancy, my anxiety grew as time passed, and I kept thinking I should have chosen the express test. For those who feel anxious, I would recommend the express test.
5. Reporting of results
It was easy to understand, and the parts I didn't understand were explained clearly when I called.
6. Other things I noticed
The week after submitting the sample for testing, even though I understood it would be difficult, I inquired about whether I could switch to the express test partway through. If the answer had simply been that it wasn't possible due to the rules, I would have been satisfied with that, but I was told that a mistake had occurred at a company in the U.S. and that a large volume of samples was flowing into your company as a result, which made me feel a bit "???". I wondered whether that was something stated as a manual response, or whether it was actually true and things were genuinely busy. I felt that perhaps you didn't need to share that kind of reason with customers. I would appreciate a response on this point.
I learned that there are many people facing the same worries, and I read many of everyone's surveys. I got the result I had hoped for, and I plan to move forward positively from here. The gender determination also matched what I was told at the hospital.
Thank you very much indeed.

Thank you very much for using our testing service this time.
If this testing was of any help to you, it would bring all of us great joy.
Regarding your inquiry, please allow us to respond.
As shown in the link below,
in early July 2023, a "mistaken-result trouble at a major U.S. DNA testing organization" was reported in the news.

Following this news report, our company—which has "zero mistaken-result incidents"—
experienced a surge of DNA testing requests,
which led us to "temporarily suspend" acceptance of express testing.
We have since strengthened our testing system,
and resumed express testing on July 24, 2023.
However, at the time you requested express testing, we were in the middle of preparing to strengthen our testing system,
and were therefore unable to accommodate your request.
We sincerely apologize for not being able to meet your wishes on this occasion.
We also thank you for your valuable feedback.
We remain committed, as a whole company, to continuing to provide the most accurate results as promptly as possible under the best possible system.
In closing, we wish you continued health and happiness.
