Email from a customer in Kanagawa Prefecture who used DNA testing

Thank you very much for all your help this time.
For me, the result was good news, so I was relieved and it was a great help.
I was unsure whether to have this test done, but now I think it was good to have it,
because it means I can properly give birth.
It was a clinic I chose in order to have an abortion, but the doctor also proposed it as an option,
and at first I thought I wouldn't get tested, but various things happened and I ended up getting tested.
It was hard both financially and emotionally to learn the result, but I'm glad because now I can give birth with peace of mind.
Thank you so much.

1. Reasons for choosing seeDNA
I was told that prenatal testing could be done at the clinic, and when I heard that you were a partner clinic, I chose you.

2. Customer service
I asked questions about things I was concerned about by phone and email.
Emails were answered within half a day, so you responded quickly and clearly.

3. Testing fee
I also looked at other websites. The prices were set similarly, so I figured this price was about the going rate.
If possible, it would be even better if the price were a little cheaper.

4. Testing speed
I chose this because, by paying an additional fee, the results come out in 6 days.
For prenatal testing, testing is possible from the 7th week onward,
so if it takes a long time to get the results, in the worst case
the time available to respond becomes limited.
I too thought I was being tested at exactly 7 weeks 0 days, and partly because the doctor didn't say clearly,
but when the blood was drawn, the ultrasound showed a size of 7 weeks 5 days. Honestly, I panicked quite a bit.
It was shipped that same day and the results came out properly in 6 days,
but if it had required a retest... I wonder whether it would have made it in time for week 12.
So, I hope that going forward you will aim for technological development, and that the shortest turnaround time can become a little faster.

5. Result report
It was easy to understand.

6. Other things I was curious about, etc.
This is partly personal curiosity, but I thought I would like to know the process for producing the test results, even just briefly.
Things like what is done to detect DNA from the blood sample, and how many days that takes.
Also, whether the work of extracting the DNA from the man and the work of extracting the DNA from the mother is done simultaneously,
or whether it is done in sequence.
You mentioned that in the case of a retest, a notification comes right away,
but I thought it would also serve as a rough guideline,
and I thought it would be easier to understand what processes are involved and why a minimum of 6 days is needed.

Regarding your inquiry,
in the event that the man's DNA gets mixed into the fetal DNA it would cause a misjudgment, so
different technicians perform the work simultaneously in separate laboratories.
Because it takes time to extract the fetal DNA from the maternal blood and analyze it accurately,
the entire process takes 4 to 5 days.
Detailed materials are posted on our website.
Thank you very much.
