[Prenatal DNA Testing] \"The test results are clear, but I became worried because the intermediate process was unclear, so I am contacting you\"
2021.12.09
This is an email from a customer in Tokyo who used prenatal DNA testing, received on December 8, 2021.
Thank you for informing me of the results.
Regarding this, as the hospital contacted you at the outset due to a problem with the blood collection tube, I believe the amount of blood was considerably insufficient compared to what was expected. Was that all right?
Also, I think the amount of buccal epithelial cells may have been inadequate because I did not collect the sample thoroughly on my end. Was there no problem?
The test results are clear, but I became worried because the intermediate process was unclear, so I am contacting you.
Since you contacted me right at the deadline, I am feeling anxious that there may have been some deficiency.
It is possible to collect the samples again, so I would like accurate results.
Thank you very much.

Regarding your inquiry, if the required amount of DNA cannot be obtained, we are unable to report the test results.
The blood volume was insufficient, but because the gestational week had progressed, we were able to obtain a sufficient amount of the fetus's DNA.
For the alleged father's sample as well, we were able to obtain the required amount of DNA.
We hope this puts your mind at ease.
If you have any other questions, please contact us.
Thank you very much.
