This is an email from a customer who used our DNA Twin Testing service.

On December 12, 2018, we received the following email from a customer in Ehime Prefecture.

From the time we found out I was pregnant with twins, we were told they were fraternal, since there were two amniotic sacs and two placentas. But after they were born, people kept telling us they couldn't tell them apart. The actress twins Mana and Kana were also thought to be fraternal, but recently it turned out they were identical, so
even though knowing for sure whether they were identical or fraternal wouldn't really change anything, I requested a DNA test just to feel at ease.
The result was that they are identical twins.
It feels like a 16-year-old mystery has finally been solved.
Ever since they were babies, their dominant hand, hair whorl, sleeping posture, and so on were all reversed like a mirror, so it seems they are also what's called "mirror twins."
A 16-year mystery in our household has been solved! I feel so relieved.
