This is a message from a client who requested DNA typing analysis.
On February 14, 2016, we received the following email from a client residing in Osaka Prefecture who had requested forensic science analysis.
Thank you for teaching me methods such as buccal epithelium collection.
My husband and I have been discussing what to do going forward, and we are saying that the difficult part is whether the perpetrator himself—not the perpetrator's parents—will consent to buccal epithelium collection, since he completely denies everything.
Also, he has shown very unpredictable, perverse words and actions until now, and to be honest, we are afraid of what he might do, because if we provoke him too much, he may hold a grudge over how our family has treated him and do something in the future.
It is frustrating, but I am a mother full of lingering unease, thinking that perhaps all we can do is give up, having at least been able to inflict this much damage on the other party.
So, when the time comes—the proper, appropriate time—I want to be prepared and keep this on hand as evidence, as a trump card.
Once again, I would like to know for how long a comparison remains possible.
I am sorry to trouble you, but thank you very much.
