our CEO appeared on Fuji TV's "Honma Dekka!? TV" and introduced part of our prenatal DNA paternity testing service.
(With just a single strand of a man's hair, we can confirm the parent-child relationship with a fetus from the 7th week of pregnancy onward!!)

DNA paternity testing compares the DNA profiles of the subjects, so in order to confirm a biological relationship between a man and a fetus, it is naturally a precondition that a sufficient quantity of the fetus's DNA, which serves as the comparison target, can be extracted from the pregnant woman's blood.
Hair is an excellent sample that yields very clean DNA, so if it is in good condition and has a root attached, even a single strand has a high probability of providing the DNA needed for prenatal DNA paternity testing.
(Also, if the hair root is not visible to the naked eye, having five or more strands increases the success rate.
Alternatively, it can be used for maternal-line testing by examining mitochondrial DNA.)
